Chasing the Dream of Becoming Popular USA Music Artists

Music has no boundaries and it does not have its own limits. In fact it is the one thing that does not require any language of its own. It only has its own rhythm and divines. The songs cross all the cultural and the linguistic boundaries so that it could amalgamate all together.

The Hero Music group was formed with the intention of making music the heartbeat of all its listeners and to eradicate all the linguistic, social and the cultural boundaries. It was formed with initially two members who were really passionate about their music. They made up songs for each and every occasion and the songs are so funny that that they would just have a silly meaning attached with them. They had song for all the occasions and hence those funny songs were really situational.

Slowly they planned for forming their own group and started performing in pubs and other social places where they can have access to a much larger audience. In this way we slowly became a familiar face and people started knowing our name. They felt so much happy that they are making a mark in the pop music field. After much struggle they launched their first Pop Music Album and it eventually lead to the launching of the second one.

They secured the 2nd position in the competition and it was then that they decided that they will continue writing songs for the band. It was then that they formed the band Non Pareilyx which means that the group is unparallel and completely unique in their approach and presentation. They teamed up with friends and searched for the girls and met a few of them at the private school. They used to move around like nomads bouncing around from couch and couch to trying to finish school and dreamed of being the USA Music Artists group. It was during this time that they met various other groups who were also trying to create a name for themselves in the music industry. Their passion for music and word play formed a bond and it was only with this much of zeal within themselves that formed their own music group and till this day it is almost completely inseparable.

Today they are many music bands available in the industry and it is really a tough competition that they have to maintain to survive in the industry. The band is really trying hard to make a name for themselves in the USA Music Artists. The artists are really talented and they are really struggling hard to mark a name for themselves. In the initial years they had to struggle a lot to make a name for themselves and there were not much people who would help them and but they did not lose their confidence. Rather it gave him much more energy and it was the madness for zeal that helped them in escalating up the ladder of the music industry.

Black Images in Music Videos: Are They Leading Kids Astray?

A first time viewer of rap videos is sure to be scandalized by the violent and sexually explicit lyrics and dance moves that they contain. It does not get any easier to view with time and these videos manage to retain their ability to shock you whenever you view them. It is very unfortunate to note that most of the people featured in these videos are black. As a result of this, the black images that one sees in the media never fail to show the community in a very bad light.

If one were to go by the black images seen in music videos one would think that the women of that community were content to be nothing but sexual playthings. For starters they are very scantily dressed. In addition to that, their sexual gyrations can get very difficult to watch because they are of the variety that is best done behind closed doors. The men in these videos are uniformly violent and the women are all subservient to them.

The added message these black images portray is that there is no need to spend time getting an education because there are so many short cuts available to fame and fortune. The aggressive and angry lyrics suggest that there is no point in trying to get ahead in a world dominated by whites.

This predominance of negative black images in the media is of concern to community leaders for a variety of reasons. For starters it is just wrong to portray a community in a stereotypical light by ignoring all the other categories of people it includes. It does the majority of the black community a big disservice when these rap videos broadcast these violent and overtly sexual images. The other reason for concern is that they are believed to have a negative impact on the impressionable minds of teenagers who watch them.

There are studies that show an undeniable link between these rap videos and an increase in teen problems within the black community. The message that young people get from these videos is that it is perfectly normal to behave in a sexually promiscuous manner with no regard for authority and a conventional education and career. The result of this is an increase in a whole lot of problems such as drug use, crime and incidences of teen pregnancy. These videos are also linked with young people dropping out of school and also contracting venereal diseases.

Apart from the sexual angle, it is very wrong to suggest that education and hard work will not be able to take the community forward. There are many examples of people from within the black community who have improved their life by sheer dint of hard work. It is true that their stories are not accompanied with catchy music, and they do not seem like attractive role models. However, the best thing that the community can do is to ditch the message that the rap videos are giving and to look for new role models.

An Introduction to Polynesian Music

Polynesian music is a fun and vibrant musical style originating from the Polynesian islands of the South Pacific. The sounds of this ancient culture have begun to find their way into modern music, reflected by the tiki craze of the 1950s and 1960s and even in today’s pop culture. Even the Beastie Boys have sampled traditional Polynesian music in their songs. In Polynesia, western-style music, instruments, and rhythms have made an impact on the traditional songs found here.

Polynesia actually comprises of thousands of islands spread across the South Pacific Ocean. Each island is home to its own cultures, traditions, and music. In general, the most important part of Polynesian music is the lyrics. These lyrics often tell a story of daily life or the mythology of the islands. The instruments behind these lyrics are simple, but the sounds emanating from them beautiful. Among the variety of instruments found in traditional Polynesian music are slit drums made from logs, as well as nose flutes, a tiny style of flute. These instruments are often accompanied by hand clapping to keep the rhythm and flow going.

Among the most well-known of traditional Polynesian music styles is the Hawaiian Hula. This form of music has been passed down through generations as a central aspect of Hawaiian culture. This traditional folk music tends to be religious and incorporates chants from the audience. Along with the music are the traditional hula dancers, whose swaying hips and hand movements tell a story set to song. Today, hula music still functions to communicate mythology, religion, and history. Although simple in melody and rhythm, hula music contains complex and poetic verses.

Considered Hawaiian folk music, today’s hula musicians often incorporate modern hip-hop and pop sounds in combination with traditional lyrics. There are also many artists preserving Hawaii’s rich cultural heritage through song. The Hawaiian hula is known for the steel guitar, and is the music you’re most likely to hear if you attend a luau during your Hawaiian vacation.

These traditional musical sounds remained much the same for centuries, as most of the Polynesian islands were not visited by outsiders until at least the middle of the eighteenth century. Following European contact, they began to incorporate American, European, Asian, and South American beats. After the arrival of Christian missionaries, which began in the 1790s and continued for more than a century, hymns and other Christian musical styles were sung, and native musical styles were often driven underground, although they also merged with Christian styles to create new musical genres.

If you want the atmosphere of Polynesian music for your next party, consider Tiki music, which will instantly transport you to the relaxing feel of a tropical island. This music grew out of the tiki craze that began in the late 1940s, which also popularized other areas of Polynesian culture. When listening to this spinoff of Polynesian music, which has become known as “exotica lounge music,” you can picture yourself sitting on a beach, the waves gently lapping at the shore. This music combines traditional Polynesian sounds with music from other areas of the world, such as Latin rhythms and tribal beats, as well as nature sounds like bird calls, resulting in an unusual musical blend.

Pop Music as a Core of Youth Culture

Article by Claire Brown

Pop music is not usually written, performed and recorded as a symphony, suite, or concerto. Pop music, on the other hand, has primarily come into usage to describe music that evolved out of the rock ‘n roll revolution of the mid-1950′s and continues in a definable path to today. Pop music has been very controversial at least since the 1950s, but even Plato complained about the influence of music on youth.

Music

Music is one of the most basic experiences for human beings. Music doesn’t appear to have massive negative effects, the authors say. Music styles define the crowds and cliques they run in. Music personalities provide models for how they act and dress. Music also appears to alter study habits and damage eardrums. Music videos are a “powerful new force” in adolescent culture but they don’t seem to hold adolescents’ interest nearly as long as the music itself. Musicians are offended by this because we think music should engage you.

Pop

Pop in some way made a partial revenge in the late 50s with the Brill Building in NYC now the centre. Pop pundits may also find some musical interest in the recordings of Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly. Pop music as core of youth culture. Britney Spears is probably the most photographed pop star of the last 10 years, so what better way to take a tour back through the standout moments in her career than through a picture gallery. From her days as the biggest teenage pop star the world has yet known to the beginning of a comeback this fall, enjoy the Britney Spears Photo-Biography. This was a week when one of the most loved and hated pop stars finally returned with new music, but she was kept out of the top spot on this week’s chart by an artist who has been burning up the pop singles chart for the past 2 years. The definition of pop music is purposefully flexible as the music that is identified as pop is constantly changing. At any particular point in time it may be easiest to identify pop music as that which is successful on the pop music charts. For the past 50 years the most successful musical styles on the pop charts have continually changed and evolved.

At any particular point in time it may be easiest to identify pop music as that which is successful on the pop music charts. However, there are some consistent patterns in what is identified as pop music. It is tempting to confuse pop music with popular music. Since the mid-1950′s pop music has usually been identified as the music and the musical styles that are accessible to the widest audience. One of the most consistent elements of pop music since the 1950′s is the pop song. The basic form for pop music is the song and usually a song consisting of verse and repeated chorus.

The Influence of Music: Real or Fabricated?

Most young adults can remember their parents criticizing their taste in music during their childhood. If you grew up during the hip-hop explosion of the 1980s and 1990s, rappers and some sexually provocative R&B singers were blamed for the “lack of morals” amongst the younger generation.

The influence of music was blamed for everything from teenage pregnancy, inner-city violence and the rise of promiscuity amongst youth, which led to an explosion of sexually transmitted diseases.

The influence of music continues to be blamed for many of society’s ills 20 to 30 years later. But has music become that negative over recent generations, or are the complaints from older generations over-exaggerated and simply a nostalgic recollection of their youth?

Over the last couple of years I have become a huge fan of TV One’s documentary series “Unsung,” which takes a look at groups who achieved critical acclaim but failed to maintain a lasting influence on the pop charts.

This season, the program took a look at the Bar-Kays, among other groups, who overcame tragedy before becoming triumphant funk stars during in the 1970s and 1980s. I vividly remember jamming to “Freakshow on the Dance Floor” as a youngster in elementary school, oblivious to the actual message in the song. The same promiscuity that can be heard in that 1984 classic can be heard in songs by newer artists such as Drake or Nicki Minaj.

While these newer artists are definitely more profane than their predecessors, if you were talk to someone of an older generation, they would almost always completely ignore the blatant promiscuity in songs such as Anita Ward’s “Ring My Bell,” Rick James’ “Super Freak,” or Prince’s “Head.”

Around the same time that “Freak Show on the Dance Floor” was tearing up the R&B charts, I can remember my mother forbidding my sister and me from listening to “Darling Nikki” by Prince because he mentioned such things as masturbation. At 5-years-old, and not even knowing what masturbation was, my mother made a conscious effort that the influence of music was not going to trump her influence over her children.

Nevertheless, those negative images were present 30 years ago, just as they are present in 2010. The influence of music did not mysteriously become negative after generations of wholesomeness; it has always had its negative elements. The thing that is different between today’s generation and generations of yesteryear is that our parents were determined to become the main influence in our lives.

When I hear older men and women talk down to younger generations because of their taste in music or fashion, I want to inform them that their taste at a young age was not much better, and everything they were a part of was not as wholesome as they want their children to believe.

The influence of music and other forms of media will always be prevalent, just as the influence of one’s peers and parents will always be relevant. It is very important that everyone in the public eye realize that young eyes are watching at all times, and we are constantly influencing the development of young minds.

However, it is also wise to remember that we were all young once, and the things we were exposed to at a young age was not always that innocent and most of us turned out just fine, despite the negative influences.

Glee: The Music, Volume 3

New Directions has fallen on hard times and teacher Will Schuester has taken the task of restoring the glee club to its former glory. With an unlikely group of students including a couple of football players, a few cheerleaders, a male soprano, a potential diva, and the girl who believes she will be a star, the glee club works to perform at first the sectional then the regional competition. The show has included plot lines ranging from teen pregnancy, to angst over sexual orientation, to the clique driven world of high school, to the separation and divorce of Mr. Schuester.

While the story arcs and characters are well written and well acted, the real star of the show is the music. Each week, the show includes jaw dropping musical numbers ranging from Lady Gaga to KISS; from Les Miserables to Journey; from Madonna to “The Lady is a Tramp.” The cast moves from song to song and from style to style with ease and continuously provides excellent music with a dramatic twist. Whether the song is classic rock, Broadway musical, funk, or modern rock, the cast shows their musical chops by performing each song in an exciting and well done manner. Is Classical Music Really Classical?

The classics of music are the enduring expressions of adventurers that withstood the test of time. Classical composers did not compose classical music. At the time of their composing, they were standing on the bow of the ship of music as it headed for the deep, dark, mysterious waters of the unknown possibilities of human experience. For them, their creative act was an experiment in both expression and technique.

Their creative acts were a tempest of exaggerations and struggles as they attempted to forge a new path to aesthetic experience. Little understood in their own time, the resolution of the tensions between the old and new creations not yet acknowledged, or accepted, it would take time for the listening public to understand and appreciate the new world these classical music composers discovered on behalf of man. It would be only later that their works, their discovers and claims, would gain full recognition, be appreciated, and finally, after a time, set as a launching point from which new adventures into music experience would be launched.
