The Immaculate Collection

  • Madonna - Imaculate Collection Brazil Import
Cd > Popular Music > RockCD > POPULAR MUSIC > ROCKThis is the perfect way to hear Madonna: no album filler, just one hit after another. As a singles artist, she works wonders: quick, danceable tunes that are occasionally "controversial" but never set out to change the world (and don't). The Immaculate Collection begins with her earliest work ("Holiday", "Borderline") and matures from there ("Papa Don't Preach", "Like A Prayer"), ending in 1990. The highlight is the inclusion of "Justify My Love"

How to Post Music Videos to MySpace

Although there are many great things about MySpace, one of the best features is that you are able to share your thoughts and interests with everyone in the internet world. One of the most popular things people like to share is their personal music tastes. Uploading music to MySpace is not a difficult task. The key is to know where to look for the codes needed to do the upload.

The easiest way to upload the videos you like is to use the ones on the MySpace site because they will upload easily and they are safe. The website has a huge selection to choose from, however, if you still can’t find your favorite artist or song then locate the access code that will allow you to download the song from the alternate site.

Music videos on the Internet are as plentiful as grains of sand on the beach and some of these sites will allow you to directly download to your MySpace profile. Always make sure the site allows you to do this for free because some sites require a fee to download. Be careful about what you are signing up for. Some sites make it as easy as a copy and paste or selecting the song and clicking on the “add to MySpace” button.

You can also add videos by editing your MySpace page. To do this click the “home” button at the top of your page and locate the main editing box. It has your picture on it. Select the box and it will drop down a list of options- select “Add/Change Videos”.

Now you will be able to manage your videos by selecting one of the four choices given. Your choices will be “featured”, “videos”, “my videos”, and “upload”. To upload from the selection offered by MySpace click on “videos” and browse through the huge selection they offer. They allow you to play them to see if it is one you would like and once you find one you just click on “add to my profile” and it is automatically done for you. A follow-up message will inform you that your upload was a success and is now on your profile.

If you have a video on your computer that you would like to put on your profile, first make sure you have permission to do so. Once you have permission to post it on your profile, simply hit the “upload” button. You will be asked to give a description of the video you are uploading, so type in the name of the song and who is singing it. This will help others who may be looking for the same artist /song. Once the info has been filled in. hit the “continue” button. On the next page shown, hit the “browse” button so that you can search your files to find the video you want to add to your profile. Once you locate it hit the “upload” button to transfer a copy to your profile page. Be sure the video is not copyright protected, whereas MySpace has strict copyright laws they adhere to and as a result your video maybe deleted from your profile. The same applies to anything that may not be considered appropriate for public forum, such as explicit language or anything of a pornographic nature.

Adding music videos to your MySpace profile is fun and adds so much to your profile. It helps you express to others not only your music tastes but part of who you are and what is happening in your life. The process is not difficult or time consuming, other than trying to pick out your favorite videos to add from the wide selection of videos there is to choose from.

How Does Radio Survive in a Video World?

With the recent merger of the two main pay satellite radio services Sirius and XM Radio many people are starting to wonder how radio can survive in a world dominated by video. People enjoy the occasional audio stimulus but there is always that eternal search for the video that goes with the audio, as people seem to find it easier to associate images with events rather than just audio. As video and photographic images become more popular and become the norm for any multimedia presentation found on the internet the question becomes whether or not people still have the imagination necessary to make radio popular or whether radio will just fade away and good audio will become a permanent slave to video.

Ever since the launch of Music Television, known more widely as MTV, people have come to expect a video presentation along with their music and in some cases the video presentation has become as important, or more important, than the audio itself. While radio cannot compete with the popularity of video images there is a convenience to radio that will always assure that music has a home on your radio dial. You cannot watch a video while driving your car, going for a jog, or shopping for groceries. Even with the introduction of the small screen video devices you still need to focus your eyes on more important things when you are doing these activities and for that reason there will always be a need for quality audio. Musicians have to focus just as much on the visual presentation of their music as they do on the actual music itself and that has changed the entire music industry but in the end it is still about the audio. Audio will always have a home in music and regardless of how that audio is presented there will always be people that will create a demand for quality audio.

But what about radio? How will radio as a medium survive these video times? It seems that one of the most basic of human activities has found a permanent and popular home on our radio airwaves and that basic human activity has not only helped radio survive but it has also helped radio expand. That basic human activity is talking. It costs a great deal more money to put on a television program that is interactive to people all over the country but radio has the ability to create conversation with people anywhere in the world for a relatively low cost and it seems that people love talking to talk show hosts on the radio.

The radio is becoming a pulpit for political pundits, a vehicle for sports figured to plead their case to the masses, and a way for civic leaders to gauge the opinion of their constituents. As long as people love to talk, and love to express their opinions, it appears as though there will always be a future for radio. Radio talk show hosts can sometimes cross lines like any television host can but it is up to the imagination of the listener to fill in the blanks left behind by this audio only medium.
